Protect Learning at Athabasca University

woman at computerAthabasca University wants to move its courses to a call centre model of distance learning.

This is a bad idea!

It is a bad idea for students.  It is a bad idea for instructors.  It is a bad idea for education.

The call centre model will put barriers between students and instructors.  It will provide less academic instruction and assistance for the same tuition cost.  It devalues the programs and puts the reputation and integrity of Athabasca University at risk.
